Brent Wright, CE, SE, LEED AP is President and CEO and oversees all of the firm's multi-discipline engineering operations. A licensed civil and structural engineer, as well as LEED accredited by the US Green Building Council, Brent has served as chief structural engineer for numerous notable projects including the Stratosphere Tower in Las Vegas and the Alabama Faith Chapel, at the time the world's largest monolithic concrete dome. Brent is licensed in a total of 37 states and holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in engineering from Brigham Young University. He was the first Nevada licensed structural engineer to become LEED accredited. Brent also has ten years prior hands-on experience in his family-owned construction business and currently holds a Nevada class B unlimited general contractors license. He was a founder and the first president of the Structural Engineers Association of Southern Nevada and is the father of five children, a member of the KNPR Nevada Public Radio Community Advisory Board, the Art Institute of Las Vegas Program Advisory Board, the Las Vegas Executives Association, the Las Vegas Urban Land Institute Executive Committee, the Post-Tensioning Institute's Slab-on-Ground Committee, and is a volunteer Boy Scout and Youth Leader.
Daniel Bartlett, PE, SECB, is a founding partner and Executive Vice President and oversees all of the firm's residential operations. He has provided design and engineering services on thousands of homes representing millions of square feet of residential space for the West's leading developers and home builders. Daniel has earned a reputation as a leader in innovative residential structural engineering design. His experience includes projects ranging from optimized design of tract homes to lavish custom homes to multi-family and mixed-use developments. Daniel holds a B.S. in engineering from the University of Utah. He is active in the Southern Nevada Home Builders Association and serves as a volunteer youth sports coach. Daniel also holds a Nevada class B unlimited general contractors license.
Scott Jones, PE, SE, LEED AP is Vice President and directs the California operations of Wright Engineers. Scott has engineered a wide range of structural projects, from residential to retail and from churches to office buildings. To complement his engineering experience, Scott worked as a carpenter early in his career. He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in civil engineering from Brigham Young University. Recent projects include Grand Plaza, 350,000 square foot retail center in San Marcos, California; Promenade Mall Expansion, 126,000 square foot outdoor expansion to the existing mall in Temecula, California; Mervyns 80,000 square foot prototype, a tilt-up design to be used throughout the west; and 80,000 square foot prototype design for Gottschalks in Bend, Oregon. Scott is a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Southern California, an allied member of American Institute of Architects, a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, an associated member of the Building Industry Association of Orange County, and an advisory committee member of ITT Technical Institute Anaheim.
Tye Havey, PE, SE, LEED AP, is a vice president and directs all of the Arizona operations of Wright Engineers. His expertise includes projects ranging from the Phoenix International Raceway Tunnel design to award-winning arch culverts and large complex facilities. Tye has additional experience with hundreds of tract and custom homes and various retail and office structures, and is registered in California, Nevada and Arizona. He earned his bachelor's degree in physics and his master's degree in structural engineering from Brigham Young University. Tye is a board member for the Structural Engineers Association of Arizona, a member of the Home Builders Association of Central Arizona, an allied member of the American Institute of Architects, a member of the Tilt-Up Concrete Association and is a volunteer Boy Scout leader.
David Winn, PE, SE, LEED AP is a principal and director of all Utah operations of Wright Engineers. His experience includes a wide range of structural projects in single-family tract and custom homes, multi-family townhomes, condos, and apartments, retail, and office buildings. David earned a B.S. degree in civil engineering from Utah State University. Recent projects include Daybreak Apartments, a 315 unit apartment complex in the exclusive Daybreak Community in South Jordan, Utah; The Meadows at Riverwalk Apartments, a 256 unit apartment complex in Midvale, Utah; Cotton Mill II retail building, a 50,000 square-foot retail center in Washington, Utah; and Reunion Square Medical Office Building, a 20,000 square-foot office building in Commerce City, Colorado. David is a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Utah, an allied member of the American Institute of Architects of Utah, a member of the American Institute of Steel Construction, and a member of the United States Green Building Council Utah Chapter.
Kenneth Golovko, PE, LEED AP is managing principal of Wright Engineers' Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Department. A licensed mechanical engineer, as well as LEED accredited by the US Green Building Council, Ken has extensive experience with retail and commercial projects of all types. Most recently Ken has been involved with retail rollout projects including home improvement centers, grocery, pharmacy and restaurants. Notable projects include Fox Tower, a 27-story high-rise in downtown Portland combining retail, a theater, and office and the Nike North Campus Expansion, a multi-building expansion including a R&D complex, theater, Olympic pool, and gym facilities in Beaverton, Oregon. Ken has served as LEED Administrator on several projects, working directly with owner / operators, and is well versed in sustainable design. His early career experience in electrical engineering and contracting gives him the unique ability to understand and direct all aspects of MEP. He holds a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering with an energy engineering emphasis from California Polytechnic University, Pomona. He is licensed in 38 states and the District of Columbia. Ken is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air-Conditioning Engineers, a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, and a member of the Orange County United States Green Building Council.
Jeremy McCay, PE, is Principal in charge of Wright Engineers' Civil Department Commercial Division. Jeremy has 12 years of commercial and residential development, offsite improvements, and drainage study experience. Specializing in large commercial development designs, including site grading, utility improvements, drainage facilities, and roadway design, Jeremy has designed projects throughout in Southern Nevada. Projects of note include Centra Point, a 30-acre industrial park, substations for NV Energy, Las Vegas Metro Police Department, and Boca Raton Resort Condominiums, a $300 million, 756-unit multi-family development. Jeremy is a graduate of the University of Nevada Las Vegas, with a B.S. in civil/environmental engineering.
Walt Kiffer PE, LEED AP, is a Principal in Wright Engineers' MEP Department. Walt has over 30 years experience in the electrical engineering field. He has extensive knowledge of electrical distribution systems and lighting photometrics. His previous experience as the Facilities Engineer at the University of Nevada Las Vegas has given him expertise in the maintenance and vandalism issues that impact the costs of operating a facility. He has broad experience with government agencies, including the Defense Department, and has worked as an electrical engineer at the Nevada Test Site for 13 years. Walt focuses on overseeing electrical and lighting designs to meet the project requirements for performance and serviceability.
Tina Dias, PE, is principal in Wright Engineers' Las Vegas Structural Department. Tina's recent projects include Speedway Commerce Center, Southwest Podium Apartments Building, Longford at Fort Apache commercial buildings and Fort Apache/Russell Office Complex buildings. Tina has also worked on numerous tract home, apartment projects and high end custom homes. She holds a B.S. in Civil engineering from the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
Dave Rowe PE, SE, LEED AP, is a Principal in Wright Engineers' Las Vegas Structural Department. His experience includes Big Town Mechanical, 50,000 square foot industrial building pursuing LEED certification; Equipment Management Technology Buildings, 200,000 square foot office and warehouse buildings; Boca Raton Condominiums at Palm Beach Resort, 756-unit multi-family property comprised of 7-story condominium tower buildings; and Liberty Tower, a 20-story tower condominium. Dave is LEED certified and active in the local United States Green Building Council Chapter.
Ben Rogers CE, SE, is a Principal in Wright Engineers Las Vegas Structural Department. Ben's project experience includes Panevino Ristorante, awarding-winning restaurant featuring a sloped and curved structural wall of glass; Tahiti Village, 27-acre master-planned resort community comprised of eight multi-unit residential towers; and Longford Medical Office Building and Parking Garage, a four-story, 132,000 square foot, medical office building. Ben holds a M.S. engineering degree from the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
Paul Lattin CE, SE, is a Principal in Wright Engineers Las Vegas Structural Department. Paul�s experience includes Northern Beltway Industrial Center office and warehouse buildings; office and industrial buildings at the Arroyo; PBS Distance Learning Center, a 112,000 sf 3-story school building; and Paradise Aviation, which includes an executive terminal and seven aircraft hangers. Paul is a member of the American Concrete Institute and the Tilt-Up Concrete Association. He holds an MS in civil/structural engineering from Brigham Young University.
Xiaoping Yao, PhD, SE, is a Senior Structural Engineer consultant and a specialist in high-rise towers and large parking structures. Xiaoping was an engineering instructor and researcher at Shanghai TieDao University before completing his PhD Degree at Brigham Young University. Xiaoping's experience includes the Venetian Hotel and Casino, the 40-story Turnberry West Towers I & II, MGM Hotel & Casino Guest Parking Garage Addition, and the 35-story Le Jardin Hotel & Casino, Atlantic City.
