HAPPY NEW YEAR

As we pause to review the past year, we’re reminded of where we’ve been and we see a vision of where we’re headed.  Wright Engineers was honored in 2018 to be named the Nation’s #1 Best Firm to Work For – for the second year in a row!  We were named NAIOP Southern Nevada Engineering Firm of the Year for the second time.  And we were named Utah’s Best of State in the structural engineering category.  While we’re proud of these honors, we’re prouder of the honor you give us when you trust us with your valuable projects.  We know it’s because of our great people and their good work, and that we must maintain your trust.

This coming year, we look forward to continuing our efforts to be your preferred consultant, a destination employer, and the industry leader – and to perhaps garner a few more industry awards.  But most of all we look forward to our continued association with you.  Thank you for making it possible for us to feed our families and do what we love.

PHOENIX OFFICE CELEBRATES 15TH ANNIVERSARY

This month we celebrate the 15th anniversary of the founding of our Phoenix office.  Tye Havey opened the office in 2005 with a small team and just celebrated its best year ever in 2019.  “Phoenix is a growing and vibrant region and we’re fortunate to be able to contribute to its growth” said Tye.  “This is home, and we love it here.  In fact, we recently closed on the purchase of a new office building that will be home to our growing staff.”  Tye paid special recognition to the contributions of long-time and newer Phoenix team members:  “Our team members take care of our clients and make them happy.  Those clients then come back and bring their friends.”

red barn farms

Wright Engineers and Russell Platt Architecture have joined forces to design Bunkhouse II for Red Barn Academy, a 2-year non-profit vocational training school in Farmington, Utah for boys and men bound for a life of crime and addiction.  It’s not a traditional treatment facility or rehab center—the therapy provided at Red Barn is teaching the practical skills necessary to live successfully in society.  There are currently 24 men in the program with plans to add 20 more by the end of the year.  When finished, the bunkhouse will accommodate 72 additional students, a mess hall and kitchen and entertainment areas and nearly double Red Barn Academy’s ability to offer a new life and positive change for qualified students.  Wright Engineers is donating all its structural engineering services.  To learn more about how you can support Red Barn, visit redbarnfarms.org.
