Wright Engineers has again been recognized by Zweig Group as one of the “Best Firms to Work For” in the U.S. and Canada. This year, Wright Engineers ranked #4 in the Structural Engineering category. The annual rankings are based on a corporate survey evaluating firm policies and practices and an anonymous employee survey measuring satisfaction, engagement, and workplace culture. Wright Engineers has a long history of recognition in the program, including being named a Best Firm to Work For as far back as 2007. “We’re grateful for our outstanding team members who make Wright Engineers a great place to work,” said CEO Brent Wright. Zweig Group provides consulting, research, and education for the architecture, engineering, and construction industry.
RAISING CANE’S OPENS ON SANTA MONICA 3rd STREET PROMENADE
Raising Cane’s recently opened its first Santa Monica location at 1401 3rd Street Promenade, near Santa Monica Boulevard. The highly visible new restaurant brings the popular chicken-finger concept to one of Southern California’s best-known pedestrian shopping and entertainment districts.
The project is part of renewed restaurant and retail activity along the Third Street Promenade, where new dining options are helping activate storefronts and bring additional foot traffic to downtown Santa Monica.
PM Design served as the architect for the project. Wright Engineers is proud to have provided structural engineering services for this new Raising Cane’s location.
WRIGHT ENGINEERS AWARDS STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIPS
Each academic year, Wright Engineers sponsors two scholarships for senior or graduate-level students focused on structural engineering. We are proud to announce the 2026-2027 recipients:
Mayalia Guntle (pictured left) recently completed her structural engineering degree at UC San Diego and will begin a master’s program in structural engineering at Stanford University this fall. She has served as a tutor for UCSD structural engineering courses and gained industry experience through internships with Meritage Homes and Kimley-Horn.
Shealyn Schultz (pictured right) is pursuing a Master of Science in Civil Engineering at Kennesaw State University. She has worked as a bridge engineering intern with Pond & Company and Parsons Corporation and is active in campus leadership, including serving as Vice President of Chi Epsilon.
We congratulate Mayalia and Shealyn and wish them continued success as they pursue careers in structural engineering.
