LINCOLN LIFT STATION

Construction is underway on the Lincoln Lift Station in Clark County, Nevada.

Sewer systems depend on gravity to move wastewater downhill, but in flat or low-lying areas, that isn’t always possible. Without lift stations, many neighborhoods, industrial parks, and commercial developments could never connect to the municipal sewer system. As sewer lines extend farther from treatment facilities, their depth can become prohibitively great—making construction costly, dangerous, and sometimes impossible. Lift stations solve this challenge by pumping wastewater upward at key points, allowing pipelines to remain relatively shallow and making service practical in difficult terrain.

The Lincoln Lift Station is designed to pump sewage up from a depth of nearly 30 feet. One of the unique challenges at this site is the high groundwater table. To prevent the subterranean station from literally floating upward under buoyant pressure, Wright’s design incorporates massive concrete footings and walls—up to four feet thick—to anchor the structure securely in place.

Westwood is the prime engineering consultant for the project.  Wright Engineers is proud to serve as the structural engineer for the Lincoln Lift Station, as well as for numerous other lift and pumping stations throughout the region.

APWA 2025 PROJECT OF THE YEAR

The Phase III Expansion of the Mountain House Water Reclamation Facility for the City of Mountain House, California, was recently honored with the American Public Works Association Sacramento Chapter’s 2025 Project of the Year Award.

This expansion adds more than 1.5 million gallons per day of capacity to the facility, supporting the community’s growing needs. Pace Advanced Water Engineering served as the prime engineering consultant, and Wright Engineers is proud to have provided the structural engineering services for this award-winning project.

WRIGHT ENGINEERS SUPPORTS LOCAL STUDENTS WITH SCHOOL SUPPLIES

A big thank you to everyone who contributed to the NAIOP Southern Nevada school supply drive! Thanks to the generosity of the community, the drive collected over 30,000 school supplies to benefit the students of Hollingsworth Elementary School in Las Vegas.

Wright Engineers’ office was proud to serve as one of three donation sites across the valley. Team members Dave Rowe, Erik Anderson, and Tanya Carrazco had the joy of delivering the supplies personally. In addition, they joined with other NAIOP Southern Nevada volunteers to read to 35 classrooms, making the day even more memorable for both students and volunteers.
