Specs: Paul is a professional engineer licensed in Arizona. He earned a BS in civil engineering from The University of Connecticut. Through high school and college, Paul worked construction with a framing crew, and the experience has instilled in him an appreciation for producing buildable designs.
On the Job: Paul is a principal engineer in Wright’s Phoenix office where he manages and performs structural engineering, coordinates with clients and other design team members, and does whatever it takes to get the job done right. Paul loves to work on the design of a project and then follow through on its construction to see it come together as planned. He has a well-developed insight for producing plans that are easy to read and designs that are easy to build.
After Hours: Paul enjoys basketball, hiking, golf, carpentry, fixing things up around the house, and going to the beach with his wife Jessica, and their three children. Paul once designed a retirement home for his parents in Arizona. It was the first set of plans he stamped as an engineer. After that, he acted as the general contractor for the project and worked through the process of bidding and hiring contractors. It was enlightening for him to see what questions the contractors had and to hear their feedback.
