Wright’s Sandy, Utah office was named 2019 Utah Best of State in the Structural Engineering category. The Award recognizes outstanding individuals, organizations and businesses in Utah that demonstrate excellence, differentiate themselves from their competitors, and contribute to a better quality of life. “We’re thrilled to receive this recognition”, said David Winn, Vice President and Director of Wright’s Utah operations. “It’s always nice to receive confirmation that our work is noticed.” The Best of State Awards will be presented next month at a gala in Salt Lake City.
SIPA BUILDING EXCELLENCE AWARD WINNER
Palo Alto Apartments received the Top Honor in the Commercial category and also won in the Multi-family category at the recent Structural Insulated Panel Association (SIPA) Building Excellence Award Presentations in Phoenix. The project incorporates over 24,000 square feet of structural insulated panels or SIPs. SIPs are a high-performance building system comprised of an insulating foam core sandwiched between two structural OSB or plywood facings that result is a strong, energy-efficient and cost-effective building system. Prabhas Kejriwal is the project’s developer. Wright is the project’s structural engineer.
SUNPOINT CROSSING
Big box industrial buildings seem to be sprouting up everywhere, and Wright Engineers is proud to be involved with many of them. The three buildings shown above totaling 752,000 square feet at SunCap Property Group’s SunPoint Crossing were erected in about 2 weeks by Las Vegas-based OS Construction. Lee & Sakahara is the project architect. Wright is the project’s structural engineer.
