Brent Wright, PE, SE, LEED AP Founder and CEO

Specs:  Brent is a structural engineer licensed in 39 states. He was lead structural engineer for the Stratosphere Tower in Las Vegas and has overseen the structural engineering for thousands of projects nationwide. Brent holds BS and MS degrees in engineering from Brigham Young University and he formerly held a Nevada unlimited general contractor’s license. He was a founder and the first president of the Structural Engineers Association of Southern Nevada and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Appeals for the City of Las Vegas Department of Building and Safety and as the governor-appointed structural engineer member of the Nevada Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. Brent also serves on a number of volunteer community boards.

On the Job:  Brent sets the vision and direction of the firm and champions creative efforts to ensure that Wright Engineers remains a preferred consultant, destination employer and industry leader.  He is also the cartoonist and creative mind behind the Right Brain, cartoons and humor highlighting the quirks and craziness of engineers, architects, builders, and the construction industry.

After Hours:  Brent loves big gatherings with his family, backcountry motorcycle trips with his six brothers, and making stuff in his workshop.  He is an outdoor adventure enthusiast and has trekked and climbed in the US, Africa, South America, and Asia.  Brent and his wife Peggy make their home in Las Vegas where they can be close to their 5 children and 12 grandchildren.


Scott Jones, PE, SE, LEED AP VP, Director of California Operations
Scott Jones, PE, SE, LEED AP VP, Director of California Operations

Specs: Scott holds BS and MS degrees in civil engineering from Brigham Young University. He also holds a minor in business management. Scott is a licensed SE and/or PE in 41 states. To compliment his engineering experience, Scott worked as a carpenter early in his career working on both residential and commercial job sites. He is a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Southern California, an allied member of American Institute of Architects, a member of the international Council of Shopping Centers, an associated member of the Building Industry Association of Orange County, and an Executive Committee Member of the South County Management Society.

On the Job: Scott is a partner in the firm and oversees Wright’s Structural and MEP operations in California- as well as IT for the company. You are likely to see him out at trade shows and conferences creating loyal and mutually beneficial relationships for Wright Engineers.

After Hours: Scott loves all things connected to his family, building stuff, and the great outdoors. Scott and his wife, Annette have two daughters and two sons ranging from elementary to college age. He loves spending time outdoors with them whether on a kayak or camping or hiking or just enjoying an ocean sunset. A true engineer at heart, Scott loves to building and create. Woodwork, metal work, construction- it is all good. He restored his high school car- a 1966 mustang convertible and is currently finishing the restoration of a 1964 Jeep CJ-5 that belonged to his grandfather.


Tye Havey, PE, SE, LEED AP VP, Director of Arizona Operations
Tye Havey, PE, SE, LEED AP VP, Director of Arizona Operations

Specs:  Tye is a structural engineer licensed in Arizona and five other surrounding states.  He earned a BA degree in physics and MS degree in engineering from Brigham Young University.  Tye is a board member of the Structural Engineers Association of Arizona and a member of the Home Builders Association of Central Arizona and the Southern Arizona Home Builders Association.

On the Job:  Tye oversees all of Wright Engineers’ Arizona operations.  He consistently supports clients and other engineers with practical, feasible, and economical solutions to help their projects become a reality.

After Hours:  Tye loves mounting biking, road biking, running, and playing games with his family.  He is also a talented pianist and organist.  In 2015, Tye was inducted into the Boy Scouts Leader Hall of Fame, and he and his family were named 2015 Scout Family of the Year for San Tan District.  In 2016, Tye placed 3rd in his age group in a 30 mile bicycle race (an accident, he says).  Tye and his wife April and their 4 children make their home in Chandler, Arizona.


David Winn, PE, SE, LEED AP VP, Director of Utah Operations
David Winn, PE, SE, LEED AP VP, Director of Utah Operations

Specs:  David is a licensed professional engineer in 12 states, and he holds a BS degree in civil engineering from Utah State University.  He is a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Utah, the American Concrete Institute, the American Institute of Steel Construction, the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, the International Council of Shopping Centers, and an allied member of the American Institute of Architects.

On the Job:  As overseer of all of the firm’s Utah operations, David applies creative thinking to provide solutions that work.  He provides training and mentoring and leads by example to ensure quality engineering and responsive service.  David is loyal and honest to a fault, and believes in giving his best in everything he does.

After Hours:  David enjoys camping, fishing, hunting, spending time with his wife, Amber, and embarrassing their four teenagers.  He says his talents are “fixing stuff and attempting to make Amber’s projects a reality”.  David and Amber make their home in Eagle Mountain, Utah where he says he was awarded the “Super Dad” trophy by his kids a few years go.


Tom Allen, PE, SE Principal
Tom Allen, PE, SE Principal

Specs: Tom holds a BS degree in civil engineering from Northern Arizona University.  He is a principal engineer in our Irvine office with design experience in wide range of projects including single-family homes, multi-family apartments, mixed-use, and large retail centers throughout the United States.  Tom is a member of the American Institute of Steel Construction and has been with Wright since 2003.

On the job: Tom oversees the structural engineering and creation of construction documents and helps our structural team develop dynamic engineering solutions for a wide range of projects.

After Hours: Tom spends much of his free time coaching his son’s youth baseball and basketball teams.  He also enjoys backpacking every summer with his dad and his kids, and has 30 years of backpacking experience in the Sierra Mountains.  Tom loves watching the NBA and MLB and is a loyal Cubs fan.  He and his wife JoRebecca and his son and daughter make their home in Riverside, California.


Erik Anderson, PE, SE Principal

Specs: Erik holds a BS degree in civil engineering from Washington State University where he graduated magna cum laude.  He is a principal engineer in our Las Vegas office with design experience in commercial, hospitality, health care, industrial, and existing building retrofits throughout the United States.  Erik is a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Southern Nevada (SEASoN).

On the Job: Erik works to create cost-effective ambitious designs that meet the client’s needs for projects big or small.  He focuses on managing projects for tight deadlines.  He also mentors younger engineers and keeps the firm up to date with the most current engineering software and codes.

After Hours:  Erik enjoys golf, watching sports (especially Washington State University football and the Vegas Golden Knights), hiking, and traveling.  He and his wife Kate consider themselves to be foodies, and they love to travel and try new restaurants, most recently in Greece, Japan, and Mexico.

Specs: Liz is a well-known face in the commercial real estate and development industry and has worked alongside many of the most influential Architects, Engineers and Contractors nationally and internationally.  She is an active member of ICSC, BIA, and ULI where she serves on the Retail and Entertainment Council.  Liz served as a board member of the LAHQ, the Los Angeles Headquarters Association, for over 15 years.  She attended Coleman Business College in San Diego.

On the Job: Liz is a recognized expert in the development and implementation of industry-specific sales and marketing and has provided her services to Wright Engineers since 2004.  With over 25-years of business development experience within the hospitality, commercial, retail and residential building industries, Liz has assembled some of the most influential Architects, Designers, Engineers, Developers, and Contractors together on many lucrative and influential projects.

After Hours: Liz enjoys bicycling, cooking, entertaining and traveling.


Zlatina Dias, PE Principal

Specs:  Tina is a principal in our Las Vegas office and holds a BS in engineering from The University of Nevada Las Vegas.  She is a recognized expert and authority in the structural design multi-family residential developments and single-family tract and custom homes.  Tina is active in the Southern Nevada Homebuilders Association and Professional Women in Building.

On the Job:  Tina applies her optimistic energy and her decisive problem solving skills toward achieving positive results and developing energizing relationships.

After Hours: Tina was born and raised in Bulgaria, and came to the United States to attend UNLV.  She enjoys cooking, photography, gardening, and traveling, camping and hiking in such remote places as Chile and Iceland.  Tina and her husband Damon make their home in Las Vegas with their dog and cat.  Tina’s travels back to Bulgaria each year to visit her extended family.

Specs:  Anna holds a BS degree in sociology from Utah State University.  She has over 8 years of leadership experience in customer services and business administration.

On the Job:  Anna can always be counted on to provide dependable results and successfully fill high responsibility roles.  As office manager, has her fingers in just about every aspect of the company from marketing to licensing and insurance to miscellaneous accounting to making sure we provide responsive, helpful client service.

After Hours:  Anna and her husband Andy are avid rock climbing enthusiasts and they can be found at least a couple of times a week in the climbing gym or on a nearby rock face.  She also enjoys movies, traveling, gardening, and oil painting. Anna has competed nationally in a handball tournament and a national horticulture competition and has done volunteer work in battered women’s shelters.  Anna has 7 direct siblings (4 of which are adopted) plus 10 step siblings and 11 sibling in-laws and their 8 spouses – a total of 36 “siblings”!


Paul Krizan, PE Principal

Specs:  Paul is a professional engineer licensed in Arizona and Colorado.  He earned a BA in civil engineering from The University of Connecticut.  Through high school and college, Paul worked construction with a framing crew, and the experience has instilled in him an appreciation for producing buildable designs.

On the Job:  Paul is a principal engineer in Wright’s Phoenix office where he manages and performs structural engineering, coordinates with clients and other design team members, and does whatever it takes to get the job done right.  Paul loves to work on the design of a project and then follow through on its construction to see it come together as planned.  He has a well-developed insight for producing plans that are easy to read and designs that are easy to build.

After Hours:  Paul enjoys basketball, hiking, golf, carpentry, fixing things up around the house, and going to the beach with his Jessica and their two sons.  Paul once designed a retirement home for his parents in Arizona.  It was the first set of plans he stamped as an engineer.  After that, he acted as the general contractor for the project and worked through the process of bidding and hiring contractors.  It was enlightening for him to see what questions the contractors had and to hear their feedback.


Ben Rogers, PE, SE Principal

Specs:  Ben is a structural engineer licensed in Nevada, Arizona and California.  He holds BS and MS degrees in engineering from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where he graduated with a perfect 4.0 GPA.  Ben is a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Southern Nevada.

On the Job:  Ben is a principal in our Las Vegas office where he focuses on establishing and maintaining company-wide engineering and drawing standards, mentors and trains engineers, and also manages the structural engineering of some of our most complex and challenging projects.

After Hours:  Ben has completed four full iron-man triathlons!  Besides training and competing, he also enjoys woodworking, remodeling his home, and working with the Boy Scouts.  He and his wife Rebecca have three adopted children and make their home in Las Vegas.


Dave Rowe, PE, SE, LEED AP Principal
Dave Rowe, PE, SE, LEED AP Principal

Specs:  Dave is a senior principal in our Las Vegas office and is licensed as a structural engineer in California, Nevada and Utah.  He holds BS and MS degrees in civil and structural engineering from Brigham Young University.  He is a director of the Structural Engineers Association of Southern Nevada and a member of the American Institute of Steel Construction.

On the Job:  Dave directs and mentors engineers, strengthens client relationships, and manages projects.  He enjoys working with others and making communities safer.  He knew he wanted to become an engineer in his high school drafting class where his teacher taught him how to stretch and improve.

After Hours:  Dave was born on the east coast and dreamed of becoming an astronaut as a kid.  He loves learning about history and enjoys the outdoors – especially trail running, and he has completed half-marathons, marathons, and ultra-marathons.  Dave is a cancer survivor after a bout with leukemia at age 18.  He and his wife Alyson have 4 daughters and make their home in Las Vegas.


Blake Scoresby, PE Principal

Specs:  Blake is a principal in our Arizona office and holds BS and MS degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering, specializing in structures, from Brigham Young University.  He is licensed in Arizona and California and has over 16 years of experience.

On the Job:  With his meticulous attention to detail, Blake has been delivering reliable structural plans for residential, commercial and civil projects throughout the southwest.

After Hours:  Blake loves to draw, cartoon, paint, play golf, go to the movies, and spend time with his family at home and on vacation.  He is an Eagle Scout and also plays the piano and speaks Dutch.  Blake and his high school sweetheart Jenna have been married 22 years and are the proud parents of 2 boys and 3 girls

Specs: Amber holds a BS degree in recreation management from Brigham Young University and has worked as an executive assistant, office manager, and marketing coordinator in Wright’s Salt Lake City office.  She is an allied member of AIA Utah and an active member of SMPS where she serves as co-chair on the membership committee and manages the society’s book club.

On the Job: Amber delivers an artistic energy and innovative flair in her ongoing collaborative efforts to build lasting business relationships.

After Hours: Amber loves to create, from designing and landscaping her yard to decorating her home.  She is an eager learner and a talented singer, and is unafraid to get up and in front of people even if it’s on-the-spot.  She loves sparkly things, animals, and helping people.  Amber and her husband, David, make their home in Eagle Mountain, Utah with their 4 children, including 3 whom they adopted, and 13 chickens.
