Wright Engineers is pleased to announce that Brandon Thompson, PE has been promoted to principal. Brandon works out of our Phoenix office and has been with Wright since 2012. His primary focus is developing cost-effective structural designs for single family, multifamily, and build for rent projects. Brandon spends his extra time at home in Gilbert and taking trips with his wife, Wendy, and their 4 young kids. He also enjoys the outdoors off-roading, hiking, camping, and fishing.
LAS VEGAS ARTS DISTRICT AFFORDABLE HOUSING
The shareDOWNTOWN apartment complex currently under construction is sure to bring excitement and affordable housing to the Las Vegas Arts District. The 84-unit building is comprised of three levels of prefabricated units over a retail/parking garage podium. Breslin Builders is the design-builder. Wright is the structural engineer. The project is expected to open late 2022.
PANTHER MEDICAL OFFICE BUILDING
Construction of the new Panther Medical Office building is underway in Las Vegas. The 3-story, 71,000 square foot tilt-up building is being developed by Prospect Street Capital. KGA is the project architect and Nigro Construction is the general contractor. Wright Engineers is pleased to provide the structural engineering. Construction is expected to be complete during the summer of 2022.
SURFING IN THE DESERT
The $200 million DSRT Surf resort planned for Palm Desert received unanimous city council approval and is expected to break ground this summer. The 7 million gallon Wavegarden Cove will provide endless surfing in optimized ocean-like wave conditions surrounded by a hotel, villas, and host of amenities.
