True expressions of “Thanks” resonated from both the recipients and contributors of a recent service project that was sponsored by Wright Engineers. Heather Johnson, Structural CAD Designer, spearheaded a plan to provide hygiene kits, food, and clothing for the homeless of Las Vegas.
Rounding up a willing and excited group of volunteers from Wright’s finest was not a difficult task for Heather as she had plenty of takers who worked after-hours to prepare 50 hygiene kits, 100 lunches and a collection of donated clothing. With three fully loaded trucks arriving, the homeless wholeheartedly welcomed the goods that were delivered. One of the highlights may have happened when all of the Wright Engineers baseball caps had been given out and a homeless person was looking a little sad because he didn’t get one. One of our volunteers, noticing his disappointment, took the hat off his own head and gave it to him. Of course, this brought a smile to everyone’s face.
