The new 120-bed Sacramento Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is the first full-service mental health facility in the Sacramento area in over 30 years.  The 71,000 square foot facility located on Expo Parkway in Sacramento offers programs for short-term inpatient care and follow-up outpatient care for adults and adolescents needing psychiatric treatment for mental, behavioral, or substance abuse illnesses.  In2It Architecture is the project’s architect.  “It was a complicated project, but the staff at In2It were great to work with, and the project turned out very well,” said Ben Rogers, SE, Wright Engineers’ principal and PM for the project.

NAIOP Nevada’s annual Spotlight Awards virtual event was held recently, and in addition to being named a finalist for Engineering Firm of the Year, Wright Engineers was honored to have provided structural engineering services for three award-winning projects.  The Steinberg Diagnostic Medical Imaging building (design-build with SR Construction and In2It Architecture) won in the Healthcare Building category.  PACCAR Parts Distribution Center (design-build with Freiheit Architecture and Martin-Harris Construction) won for Industrial Building Build-to-Suit.  PSI Commerce Center (designed by Lee & Sakahara Architects) won for Industrial Park Under 100,000 SF.  Wright Engineers is honored to have worked with these outstanding design and construction teams.

Henry’s Place is a unique and special place. This Christian camp is for inner city youth and is more than just a fun camp. The goal of Henry’s place is to provide life-changing experiences, instruction, and opportunities to at-risk and underprivileged children and youth — experiences that will equip them to succeed in facing the challenges of growing up in the inner- city of Las Vegas.

Wright Engineers donated the structural engineering on their first two cabins for 16 future campers. When the facilities are completed they will be able to impact almost 500 youth each summer.
