Wright Engineers is harnessing AI’s power on certain projects to help write code for computational engineering and application programming interfaces (APIs). An API connects two or more stand-alone computer programs without going through tedious and repetitive manual interface entry, resulting in faster and better results and eliminating the opportunity for human error. “By using several APIs and other design tools, we can connect the Revit model directly with a structural design program,” said Ajay Baniya, SE, senior project manager at Wright Engineers. “This eliminates redundancy and allows us to easily make changes in the structural model, evaluate load combinations, analyze outcomes, and iteratively refine our solutions.” The result is a better design, achieved in less time. Another way Wright Engineers is working smarter to help our industry partners construct buildings stronger, safer, and faster.
