VIRGIN GALACTIC MANUFACTURING FACILITY

Virgin Galactic has completed construction of its new Mesa, Arizona manufacturing facility. The facility includes two multiple-bay hangars equipped to build and test space vehicles. After final assembly, which will begin in early 2025, next-generation Delta spaceships will be ferried on Virgin Galactic’s mothership to Spaceport America in New Mexico. Wright Engineers is thrilled to have provided the structural engineering services for Parkway Construction and Architecture.

RAISING CANE’S IN OVER 150 LOCATIONS NATIONWIDE

What began in Louisiana over twenty four years ago has taken the country by storm. Wright Engineers is proud to have provided the structural engineering services for over 150 Raising Cane’s locations in nine states from California to Virginia. Working with architects PM Design Group and CSRS and with general contractor Parkway Construction, Wright has not only provided fast, high quality engineering (much like Cane’s food), but has also developed cost-effective prototype structural plans to aid Cane’s long-term expansion.

STRONG AND ENERGY-EFFICIENT

Tilt-up panels that are strong, lightweight, insulated, and also use less concrete and rebar than conventional tilt-up panels? Total Integrated Panel Systems, or TIPS, is an integrated composite insulated structural concrete panel system that acts as the primary structural and insulating member in conventional tilt-up construction. TIPS panels are made of four inches of expanded polystyrene sandwiched between two layers of welded wire mesh fabric joined together by diagonal truss wires and encased in concrete. Because of the composite action between the sandwich panels, TIPS walls can be built with as little as five inches of concrete. Wright Engineers is proud to provide design-build contractor LM Construction with the structural engineering services for over a million square feet of TIPS tilt-up buildings.
