SOLIS PARK K-8 SCHOOL RECEIVES PRESTIGIOUS AWARD

Irvine Unified School District’s Solis Park K-8 School was awarded the Leroy F. Green Design and Planning Award of Honor for New Builds by the Coalition for Adequate Housing (CASH) and the American Institute of Architects (AIA) at the CASH Annual Conference in Sacramento. The award recognizes excellence in school facility design and is considered California’s most prestigious. Composed of seven buildings totaling just over 100,000 square feet on 13 acres, the award-winning project was designed by PJHM Architects. Doug Thompson, SE, with Wright Engineers provided the structural engineering.

OLIVER’S MODERN AMERICAN SCOTTSDALE OPENS

The iconic tiki-themed A-frame building, once home to the old Polynesian Dairy Queen, has found a new life as Oliver’s cocktail lounge with the addition of a 3,400 square foot dining area. Originally built in 1964 at 68th Street and McDowell Road in Scottsdale, Arizona, the historic building was dismantled and reconstructed at its current site over 2 miles away near Hayden and Thomas Roads. Aline Architecture Concepts is the project’s architect. Wright Engineers is proud to provide the structural engineering.

CEDAR ST. LAS VEGAS ARTS DISTRICT

Representatives from Wright Engineers joined with CEDARst CompaniesBooth Hansen Architects, and Burke Construction Group for the groundbreaking of the CedarSt—Las Vegas Arts District Apartments. The seven-story, 311-unit multi-family project includes first-level retail space and will make a major contribution to the revitalization of the downtown arts district. Project completion is anticipated to be in late 2026. Wright Engineers is the structural engineer.

WRIGHT ENGINEERS AMONG TOP 100 FASTEST GROWING AEC FIRMS

For the second year in a row, Wright Engineers is listed among the country’s top 100 fastest growing AEC firms according to Zweig Group. The Zweig Hot Firm List ranks the fastest growing architecture, engineering, environmental, planning, construction, and related professional services (AEC) firms in the US and Canada based on three-year growth in gross revenue. And for the 11th time, Wright Engineers is also ranked on the Zweig Best Firms to Work For list. Wright Engineers will be honored with other winners at a black tie gala in Tampa, Florida in September.
