BUENA PARK BUTTERFLY SANCTUARY

BUENA PARK BUTTERFLY SANCTUARY

Construction is underway for a $25 million Butterfly Palladium located in Buena Park’s Entertainment Zone adjacent to Knott’s Berry Farm. The facility will feature a huge indoor rain forest sanctuary for human-butterfly interaction, a 3-D theater, and the world’s largest jelly fish aquarium. The developer, Rubin Stahl, has a vision of transporting visitors into an authentic Central American experience. “I’m recreating Costa Rica in its entirety,” Stahl said. “It’s going to be something special.” The attraction is expected to draw 600,000 visitors per year. Brissette Architects of Scottsdale, Arizona is the architect. Wright Engineers provided structural and MEP engineering services.
