BUILD A BETTER HOME

BUILD A BETTER HOME

Today’s new homes, with their corners, angles, hips, slopes, and other design features combined with tight seals place great demand on proper detailing and workmanship to prevent moisture-related problems including structural concerns. The Build a Better Home program from APA – The Engineered Wood Association (APA) offers a comprehensive guide to moisture-resistant construction including CAD details and guidelines for builders. Keeping the building envelope free from damaging moisture infiltration is key to a long-lasting, comfortable home.
