FIVE FOR THE FIGHT
Cancer impacts all of us in one way or another, and it needs to be stopped. 5 for the Fight is not just another cancer charity trying to raise awareness. It’s not looking to treat this disease. It’s on a mission to eradicate it!
Wright Engineers is all in with 5 for the Fight until cancer gives in! For more than seven years now, our team members have been contributing $5 per paycheck (which we match dollar for dollar), and we won’t stop until there’s a cure.
We invite you to join the fight by making a personal donation, or better yet, get your company involved through voluntary and anonymous employee giving. 100% of funds raised will fuel innovative cancer research. To make your contribution take the fight to cancer, click here.
Everyone can give five dollars, and we need everyone–because we’ve got to find a cure.
WRIGHT HELPS SOLVE WORLD HUNGER (one can at a time)
Combine creativity and ingenuity with lots of volunteer labor and the result is an edible work of art that also helps to alleviate hunger in our communities. Canstruction holds citywide annual competitions throughout the country where teams compete to create canned food structures. The teams are responsible for purchasing the their own canned food and creating their own structures. After the competition, all food is donated to a local food bank or similar hunger relief organization.
Wright Engineers’ Dallas office teamed up with Alliance Architects for a 4,049 can “Cook Off Hunger” creation benefitting the North Texas Food Bank. Not to be outdone, Wright’s Orange County team partnered with AO Architects to win awards for Structural Integrity and Best Design Overall with their 10-foot replica of the Thousand Sunny ship from the Netflix series “One Piece.”
