STRUCTURAL ENGINEERS LICENSED IN ALL 50 STATES

Wright Engineers began in December 1997, when founder Brent Wright, a thirty-something structural engineer, set up shop in Las Vegas. The first office was a modest three-room space with faded blue carpet and a roof that leaked whenever it rained. Brent, who had recently worked on high-profile projects like the Stratosphere Tower, Circus Circus Adventuredome, and UNLV Lied Library, took out a $75,000 home equity loan to cover start-up costs. With a mix of affordable new and used office equipment and his own computer from home, he laid the foundation for what would become a remarkable success story.

Thanks to Las Vegas’s booming economy, a growing team of talented, hardworking professionals, and loyal clients who kept returning—and bringing their friends—the start-up loan was paid off, and the company turned a profit by the end of its first year.

From these humble beginnings, Wright Engineers quickly grew into one of the largest structural engineering firms in the West. Offices in Orange County, Phoenix, and Salt Lake City soon followed, along with more recent expansions eastward to Dallas, Atlanta, and Denver to better serve our nationwide clientele. In 2023, we acquired STB Structural Engineers, a Southern California firm founded in 1962 and renowned for its expertise in K-12 and higher education facilities. In 2024, we expanded our expertise by bringing on Fleming Structural, an Arkansas-based firm specializing in nationwide storage facility design.

Wright Engineers has been recognized multiple times as one of the country’s fastest-growing engineering firms and is proud to have earned the distinction of being named the nation’s #1 best structural engineering firm to work for five years in a row—a testament to our exceptional culture and talented team.

Our singular focus is to design strong buildings, build strong relationships, and provide world-class structural engineering services.
