Specs: Brent is a structural engineer licensed in 39 states. He was lead structural engineer for the Stratosphere Tower in Las Vegas and has overseen the structural engineering for thousands of projects nationwide. Brent holds BS and MS degrees in engineering from Brigham Young University and he formerly held a Nevada unlimited general contractor’s license. He was a founder and the first president of the Structural Engineers Association of Southern Nevada and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Appeals for the City of Las Vegas Department of Building and Safety and as the governor-appointed structural engineer member of the Nevada Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. Brent also serves on a number of volunteer community boards and is a Structures Specialist on the Nevada Task Force 1 Urban Search and Rescue Team.
On the Job: Brent sets the vision and direction of the firm and champions creative efforts to ensure that Wright Engineers remains a preferred consultant, destination employer and industry leader. He is also the cartoonist and creative mind behind the Right Brain, cartoons and humor highlighting the quirks and craziness of engineers, architects, builders, and the construction industry.
After Hours: Brent loves big gatherings with his family, backcountry motorcycle trips with his brothers, and making stuff in his workshop. He is an outdoor adventure enthusiast and has trekked and climbed in the US, Africa, South America, Europe, and Asia. Brent and his wife Peggy make their home in Las Vegas where they can be close to their 5 children and 12 grandchildren.
