Design of the new St. Jude’s Ranch for Children Healing Center is currently under way. The Healing Center will be the first of its kind program for specialized care of child victims of sex trafficking. The Healing Center campus will include family-style homes intended to foster a sense of safety, administrative and therapy offices, an on-site school, meeting spaces, library, computer lab, and wellness spaces for yoga, meditation, and exercise–all intertwined with outdoor spaces designed to encourage transformation and healing. Wright Engineers is pleased to have joined many others in making an in-kind donation of our structural engineering services for this outstanding and worthwhile project. Ed Vance and Associates is the project’s architect. Grand Canyon Development Partners is providing pro bono construction management services.
ARIVA APARTMENTS
The 750-unit Ariva Apartments is currently under construction on 30 acres at Las Vegas Blvd. just south of Cactus. Multiple 3- and 4-story buildings comprise over 900,000 square feet of living space. A unique clubhouse cluster consists of multiple buildings with spaces for fitness, movies, karaoke, a conference room, yoga, and mail. “It required a very collaborative design effort between the owner, the builder, and the design team,” said Tina Dias, Wright’s principal in charge of the project. “Everyone worked very well together to make it happen.” Humphreys and Partners is the project’s architect. Martin Harris Construction is the general contractor. Grand Canyon Development Partners is the owner’s rep. ABLA provided the landscape architecture design. Wright Engineers is proud to provide structural engineering for the buildings as well as the site landscape structures.
