The newly completed Las Vegas Aces practice center and headquarters, home of the reigning WNBA champs is the first of its kind built for a WNBA team. The 64,000 square foot facility includes two courts, locker and training rooms, and lounge areas and is located next door to the Las Vegas Raiders Headquarters in Henderson. Lee & Sakahara is the architect for the building shell. Burke Construction Group is the general contractor.
LOGISTICS FACILITY
Located near the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in North Las Vegas, the Matter Logistics @ North I-15 Facility consists of two industrial/warehouse distribution buildings totaling just under a million square feet. The larger tilt-up concrete building has an interior clear height of 40′ and the smaller building has an interior clear height of 32′. Ware Malcomb is the Project architect. Burke Construction Group is the general contractor.
KEY TRENDS UP YEAR OVER YEAR
Texas led the nation with 4.4% year over year GDP growth according to the April Edition of ITR Economics’ ITR Advisor. States in the southeast and southwest generally experienced the strongest growth. GDP in California and 10 other states declined over the same period. ITR also noted a 10.3% rise in nonresidential construction, but it expects that rate of growth to cool somewhat. Total residential construction was up 9.6% despite single-unit housing starts declining by 18.4%. ITR predicts a housing recovery to begin the middle of this year.
