TILT-UP INDUSTRIAL BUILDINGS

The demand for big-box industrial tilt-up buildings shows no sign of weakening as millions of square feet are currently in design or under construction, and the size of these buildings seem to be increasing.  Pictured above right are 60” deep steel joist girders staged at the site of the 450,000 SF Range Road Industrial building.    Above left is a nearly 40 ft. tall buckling restrained braced frame (BRBF) at the 271,000 SF Tropical Logistics Park.  BRBFs reduce building costs as the structure can be designed for significantly lower seismic forces due to the improved seismic performance of the BRBF system.    Lee & Sakahara is the architect and Martin Harris Construction is the general contractor for both projects located in North Las Vegas.
