We are proud to announce the opening of our newest office in Denver, Colorado. This expansion reflects our commitment to serving clients in the Rocky Mountain region. Located at 4600 S. Syracuse, the new Denver office will provide a range of structural engineering services tailored to meet the specific requirements of local projects. “We’re excited to establish roots in Denver and become a part of the construction community here,” remarked Scott Jones, Executive Vice President of Wright Engineers. “This expansion underscores our dedication to better serve our clients and strengthen our partnerships in the region.”

Tom Allen, SE Principal
Tom Allen, SE Principal
Specs: Tom holds a BS degree in civil engineering from Northern Arizona University. He is a principal in our Orange County office with design experience in wide range of projects including single-family homes, multi-family apartments, mixed-use, and large retail centers throughout the United States. Tom is a member of the American Institute of Steel Construction and has been with Wright since 2003.
On the job: Tom oversees the structural engineering and creation of construction documents and helps our structural team develop dynamic engineering solutions for a wide range of projects.
After Hours: Tom spends much of his free time coaching his son’s youth baseball teams and watching his daughter play volleyball. He also enjoys backpacking every summer with his family, and has 30 years of backpacking experience in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Tom loves watching the NBA and MLB and is a loyal Cubs fan.
Doug Thompson, SE Director
Doug Thompson, SE Director
Specs: Doug has over 45 years of structural engineering experience and was the president of STB Structural Engineers until it was acquired by Wright Engineers in 2023. He holds a BS in Architectural Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo and is professionally licensed in six states. Doug is the author of numerous structural engineering articles and publications and is a nationally sought-after lecturer. He has served as a member of the Mayor’s Earthquake Technical Task Force for the City of Los Angeles and is a past president of the Structural Engineers Association of Southern California (SEAOSC). He is an honorary member of SEAOSC and a Fellow of the Structural Engineers Association of California (SEAOC).
On the Job: Doug is renowned for his structural engineering expertise in K-12 and higher ed facilities and his creative, cost-effective solutions to complex projects. His motto: “The more challenging the better!”
After Hours: Doug enjoys reading epic novels, having dinner with friends and family, and participating in sports activities.
Salvador Carrazco Director of Business Development
Salvador Carrazco Director of Business Development
Specs: Salvador holds a BS degree in organizational leadership from Azusa Pacific University and has a wealth of marketing and business development experience. He is a member of NAIOP where he is active on the Community Service committee.
On the Job: Salvador is passionate about developing and maintaining strong business and personal relationships.
After Hours: Salvador enjoys music—particularly opera. He loves going to concerts and has performed for several years as a professional mariachi. Salvador loves trying new things with his wife and their two children.
